Count the particles that got lost.
microIOC BLM is a turnkey beam loss monitor solution used for detecting the level of beam losses and determining loss locations. It is suitable for synchrotron light source or particle accelerators.
Dedicated BLM signal conditioner (BSC) was designed, which handles two BLM detectors. A BLM cable with the 3-voltage power supply, enable/disable control lines and output line is part of the package with adequate connectors. BSC unit regulates the voltages and conditions the BLM counts. Multiple BSC units can be daisy-chained via RS-485 to form a cluster, connected to the microIOC. microIOC provides power supply to BSC units using PoE Power-over-Ethernet standard and also acts as a bridge towards the control system.
