Distribute power and measure vacuum pump pressure.
microIOC LOCO is a high-voltage power supply distribution system for vacuum ion pumps. A single high-voltage power supply controller can be used for deliver power to multiple ion pumps.

In addition, air pressure is measured on each pump.
It is measured indirectly by measuring the current the pump draws from the power supply controller. Highly dynamic pressure range (from 10(-12) to 10(-4) mbar) requires accurate measuring of current in the range of 100pA to 10mA. Logarithmic-scale current measurement is used, which provides high accuracy in wide dynamic range.

microIOC LOCO can be connected to up to 2 high-voltage power supplies and can distribute power to up to 16 ion pumps.

safety: control and protect

High-voltage part of the microIOC LOCO is isolated from the low-voltage controller and communication circuitry. External interlock signal can be used to power down supply to vacuum pumps. Each channel can be monitored for upper and lower pressure limit - if the limit is exceeded LOCO can signal pump alarm to the control system or disable power supply. Alarm signal can also be used to control other connected systems by means of an interlock signal.
