Cosylab and Bergoz instrumentation test microIOC LR-BPM product at Soleil, France
In colaboration with Bergoz Instrumentation, Cosylab has developed a beam position monitoring solution called microIOC LR-BPM. This product offers a complete solution to be used on transfer lines or linear accelerators where bunch repetition rate is small (< 50Hz). It comprises of Bergoz Log Ratio Beam Position Monitor (LR-BPM) modules and of microIOC analog to digital acquisition unit (microIOC-ADA) from Cosylab. The position data from the product can be integrated into the control system on the single board computer inside the ADA unit and made available to the external network over the Ethernet link.It was successfully tested at Soleil Linac and Transfer line LT2 by Cosylab and Bergoz Instrumentation staff in May 2008.
